The Justice Department which found harms about the policy called ‘document abuse’. When the immigrants, who live phoenix-area community colleges, looking for a job they had to show their green card to employer.

Illegal immigrant workers can be founded and also employer who demanded to show their green card to innocent immigrants can be founded by changed law from Obama. The Justice Department’s civil right division accused community colleges in Arizona for document abuse discrimination.

In the Phoenix area, when immigrants want to get a job, they need to show their driver’s license, SSN and green card earlier. However, the assistant attorney and The Justice Department said showing green card is kind of discrimination, and valid driver’s license and SSN are enough for certificate themselves. During this argue, Obama changed the three law aimed Arizona for protecting innocent immigrant’s civil right. Actually, one Sheriff caught because of changed law. However, changed law was opposed by Maricopa community colleges. They said that there are $3,000 fines for unauthorized foreign so they have to have more questions for them. As a result, Justice Department decided that 247 noncitizen will get a jobs and also get $1,100 for person. The person from community colleges said they didn’t mean by discrimination, there is not victim for this situation and it just paperwork error. Vaughan who is policy analyst in Center for Immigration Studies was very impressed the action of administration that solves the discrimination problem. Gening Liao, the lawyer from the National Immigration Law Center in Los Angeles said driver’s license and SSN is enough to proof that they are legal immigrants. Respond

At first, I was surprised that the ‘blatant discrimination’ still exists for non-Americans who are immigrants especially Latino and Asians. Article said, fortunately, the president Obama change the law for people who are discriminated by Americans. I can understand if this happen in Korea, because Korea has not much experience having lots of immigrants. Korean people might confuse if alien try to get a job for their school. However, it happened in the United States which has been having a bunch of immigrant people. On the other hands, I think it is one way to prevent discrimination to the whole American society. Because whoever see this article, they will be careful about this problem.
